INFINITI Turns Its Flagship SUV Into a High-Performance With The QX80 R-Spec

For good reason, many driving enthusiasts are hoping that the new INFINITI QX80 R-Spec concept one day hits the market. When it recently debuted at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, this high-performance SUV excited onlookers from across the country. Not only does the QX80 R-Spec look especially aggressive, but it also packs a jaw-dropping amount of power under the hood.

R-Spec Performance

Supplying the QX80 R-Spec’s muscle is a twin-turbo V6 engine sourced from the legendary GT-R sports cars. Modified components, including custom turbochargers and an upgraded fuel system, help it produce an astonishing 1,000 horsepower. While official performance figures haven’t been released, drivers can expect truly thrilling acceleration.

To elevate the SUV’s handling, engineers outfitted it with a custom coilover suspension. Meanwhile, 315-section-width Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires boost overall traction.

Racy Appearance

Spectators at the SEMA Show were immediately drawn to the QX80 R-Spec’s race-inspired design. A custom body kit emphasizes its lower and wider stance, while its 24-inch bronze wheels and yellow brake calipers add extra flair. The Midnight Purple wrap makes the SUV even more striking. At the rear, bold quad exhaust outlets and a large roof spoiler complete the look.
