Specs at a Glance

The 2025 INFINITI QX55 is a sporty SUV with a sharp-looking exterior and a roomy cabin. The QX55 is a well-rounded, small luxury SUV that has plenty of passenger room, a lengthy list of features, and a strong engine. The QX55’s unique coupe-style design also includes more cargo space than others with similar designs. If you’re interested in the QX55 but shopping with a budget in mind, you’ll find many quality amenities and all the basics with the first two trims, which are the Luxe and the Essential. Here’s how the two trims compare.

Performance

Both the Luxe and Essential have the same powertrain. The two trims are powered by a turbo 2.0L four-cylinder engine that cranks out 268 horsepower and up to 280 pound-feet of torque. The two trims also use an automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard on both trim levels.

Appearance

A coupe-style body design characterizes the Luxe and Essential trims. There are a few minor differences that distinguish the two trim levels. Both the Luxe and Essential have LED headlights. Roof rails are standard on the Luxe, and it also has 20-inch wheels. A power liftgate is also standard, and heated mirrors are included as well. The Essential has different adaptive headlights that move as you’re turning. Rain-sensing wipers are standard on this trim. Both the Luxe and Essential trim have the option of two interior color schemes. Five exterior colors are available with the base trim, and six exterior paint colors are available with the Essential.

Features

Both the Luxe and Essential seat five occupants, but they have slightly different features. A rarity among SUVs, you’ll get leather upholstery starting with the base trim level. The Luxe also includes a standard sunroof. Dual-zone climate control is standard on the base model, which also has a dual-screen infotainment system. Satellite radio is included with the Luxe, which has a six-speaker audio system. You’ll get a wireless smartphone charger with the base model, along with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The Luxe has power-adjustable seats for the driver and front passenger.

Many standard safety aids are included with the Luxe, which has lane-keep assist, forward and reverse collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot intervention, rear cross-traffic warning, and rear parking sensors. The Essential trim adds front parking sensors and traffic sign recognition technology, along with a surround-view camera.
